Minneapolis Bridge

I must thank Desh for allowing me to start rolling while reading the paper at a conference this week. It seems the bridge that collapse in Minneapolis was built incorrectly yet was approved at the time.

According to Desh it is Congress from 2000 - 20006's fault that the bridge collapsed. Why is that? Because it was a Republican Congress.

I would love to build something today and build it wrong and yet have it blamed on someone else thirty years later by some partisan hack. Life would be so easy.

Graft was probably involved but on a more localized level than congress.

Its fairly certain that it wasn't political.

Well, the Bridge committed suicide when it found out the Rs were overspending and that the Ds got elected because of it.
