coalition of 1,609 scientists from around the world have signed a declaration stating “there is no climate emergency” and that they “strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy” being pushed across the globe. The declaration does not deny the harmful effect of greenhouse gasses, but instead challenges the hysteria brought about by the narrative of imminent doom.

The declaration, put together by the Global Climate Intelligence Group (CLINTEL), was made public this month and urges that “Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific.”

CLINTEL is an independent foundation that operates in the fields of climate change and climate policy. CLINTEL was founded in 2019 by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok.

“Scientists should openly address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of their policy measures,” the declaration says.

Of the 1,609 scientists who have signed the declaration, two signatories are Nobel Prize laureates. The most recent to sign is Nobel Prize winner Dr. John F. Clauser, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. In an announcement from CLINTEL, Clauser is quoted as saying "Misguided climate science has metastasized into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience. In turn, the pseudoscience has become a scapegoat for a wide variety of other unrelated ills. It has been promoted and extended by similarly misguided business marketing agents, politicians, journalists, government agencies, and environmentalists."

The underlying report that engendered the declaration lays out a series of statements challenging many of the common climate claims. For example, one of the most common claims – and repeated without question by many – is that the earth will soon pass "tipping points that will lead to catastrophic environmental damage, including dangerous sea level rise, entire species going extinct, and even greater suffering in many nations, especially the poorest."

The sense of immediate crisis has been repeated constantly by mainstream media, including The New York Times, which said flatly, "Earth is likely to cross a critical threshold for global warming within the next decade."

The signatories to the CLINTEL declaration say that global warming is “far slower than predicted,” and that “inadequate models” often guide climate policy.

The CLINTEL declaration comes at a time when recent claims abound that natural disasters such as the wildfires in Maui and Canada, the heatwaves across the globe and other events are driven by climate change. The declaration goes on to challenge the ever-ready blame on climate change, stating “There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent.”

Isnt it amazing how the "follow the science" crowd only want to follow it so far? Their belief in climate change delusionism is rooted in a decidedly unscientific mindset, consensus. If science were really what they were following why would they be so afraid of evidence that contradicts their consensus? It seems science has been abandoned for politics.

Bullshit, was debunked the first time the “list” made the rounds, anyone can sign the list, as your own source says “Want to sign? Please fill in this form,” overwhelming majority on the list are not climate scientists, most not even scientists

“One of the signatories is Ivar Giaever, a joint winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1973 for work on superconductors. However, he has never published any work on climate science.”

“According to an independent 2019 count of the declaration's signatories, 21% were engineers, many linked to the fossil fuel industry. Others were lobbyists, and some even worked as fishermen or airline pilots.”

A series of irrelevant appeals to authority and the converse of that along with generous use of the guilt by association fallacy.

That aside, one doesn't have to be a climate scientist to recognize that climate scientists get it wrong most of the time, and in many cases, virtually all of the time. They're no better at predicting climate than weathermen are at predicting the weather two years from now. They have a track record going back decades that shows this clearly.
Toss in the obvious political angle and the greentard focus on CO2 to the near exclusion of everything else, and you get a perfect storm of stupidity from the left's environmental front. And, it is the Left that is the primary driver of Gorebal Warming.

So, the idea that somehow only "climate scientists," and ones not connected to specific groups like the oil and mining industry (while ignoring those heavily connected to Leftist environmentalist groups with equal potential for having vested interests) are to speak and be listened to on this subject is nothing but arrogant bullying on the part of the Leftist environmental front.

Prove them wrong, rather than point out who they work for. But of course, that won't happen. It's hard to say the opposition is wrong when your own positions are so thoroughly discredited by actual results and observation as opposed to prediction.

They follow the politics not science
 
I've said it before. If global warming is real as the overwhelming mass,98 percent of scientists say, then we should do all we can to stop it. If they are wrong, we will wind up with cleaner land, air, and water. That is good. The only mistake is continuing as we are.

These are, of course, not scientists. They are 'climate scientists', which is what high priests of the Church of Global Warming call themselves.
They routinely deny and discard the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and the Stefan-Boltzmann law. They think they can falsify these laws by consensus.

Science does not use consensus. There is no voting bloc in science.

'Climate scientists' deny and discard science. They routinely discard the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and the Stefan-Boltzmann law.
