Not stepping back by choice. He was having fun being president. He was all over the stage, even wearing a cheese hat in Wisconsin. Holding a fake chain saw and bouncing around giving the Nazi salute on another stage. He is hurting the Reds because he is enjoying taking power from the people and they are figuring him out.

Because Musk had no security clearance, and was not confirmed by the Senate, he was suddenly an 'advisor' to POTUS, who is supposedly the real head of DOGE.

As such, his tenure could not exceed 130 days, which ends on May 30. According to the White House, there is no clear timeline for his departure. There's still plenty of time for him to do more damage, and steal more classified information.

This isn't really breaking news. Before Trump even took office, Elon was planning to leave by summer.

DOGE is on a deadline. It will finish work by July 4, 2026, according to Trump’s statement.
