Another let down by the career politicians! Ya! Increasing the US national debt by 8% in just one day!

I'm amazed at how quickly the Green party has gone up in support, especially considering they are a carbon copy of the NDP with perhaps a bit more environmental obsession.

Harper and the Conservatives have done a good job, debt is being paid down and your taxes have been lowered.
You praise Liberalism so why not at least vote for the Liberal rather than the Socialist party?

Yes I'm in Ottawa Centre so Paul Dewar is my MP...

To be honest I dont think Harper has done a bad job.... He hasnt done anything to piss me off yet....

However, I've always believed in the NDP... They fight for the causes that I care about.... social justice, economic equality, the environment, foreign aid, healthcare...

The Liberal Party has sold its soul...Its like the Democratic Party in the US...

The problem with the Canadian system is that we have 4 parties left of center against 1 party right of center...

Conservatives are at 37%

Liberal Party at 25%
NDP at 19%
Green at 10%
Bloc Quebecois at 8%


So right of center party has 37%
and left of center parties has 62%

Yet Harper will have another minority government....
Frustrating to say the least....

Well with any luck a majority, so he can actually cut government.
A lot of the Bloc's voters are rural Conservative and despise central Federal power, just they want seperation and are too dumb or unwilling to see that the Bloc party leaders are really just the French NDP.
There are also some fiscal Conservatives who are with the Liberals and can't stomach even a little of the Conservatives meager social Conservatism.
Then there are Conservatives who (like here) can't bring themselves to support a supposed right-wing party that doesn't really cut any government.

So I'm not sure if your numbers are really what they appear.

I don't think the Liberal party sold it's soul at all, after Paul Martin they have taken a sharp turn to the left and now embrace lefty ideas like that carbon tax.
