New biography of Play-Doh

There hasn’t been a stand-alone biography of Play-Doh in English, ever. The sources for its emergence are disparate and fiendishly difficult to compile.

Our main interest in Play-Doh's life lies in his establishment of what The Strong's calls "2-billion cans of fame." Students at elementary schools studied every form from pancakes and cubes to multicolored orbs and were encouraged to study other children's creations. We can peer into approximately 40 trade catalogs and print advertisements from 1964 through the present representing products from Rainbow Crafts, Kenner, and Hasbro. Additionally, more than 40 Play-Doh related artifacts can be found in The Strong’s collections.

I'd read one about Play-Doh. Arguably it has had more direct impact on me than Plato. :)
