Seems like athletes would want to sue if they were innocent. Stick it to the network.

"For the last three months, former NFL quarterback legend Peyton Manning has been quiet about what the future has in store after 18 seasons under center. While it appears he won't be in the broadcast booth for at least the 2016 season, everything else has still been left under wraps. Now, one future decision seems to be made: According to USA Today, Manning and his wife have reportedly decided not to file a lawsuit against the television network Al Jazeera.

It came after a story broadcast on their now-defunct sister network Al Jazeera America stating that Peyton Manning's wife, Ashley, received HGH at their home while he was recovering from neck surgery in 2011:

"A person familiar with Manning's strategy who was not authorized to speak publicly told USA TODAY Sports in a recent conversation that the former quarterback has decided after a dozen conference calls with attorneys that he doesn't want to spend the time and money necessary to file a lawsuit that would make public the personal records and private lives of both he and his wife Ashley."

Two other athletes named in the story, baseball stars Ryan Zimmerman and Ryan Howard, have filed lawsuits regarding the story. Manning is reportedly waiting to see if those cases are dismissed before making a final decision."

I think he's just happy to have won that second ring, and able to face retirement with his head held high (instead of getting dumped-on for being a "perennial choker") while his old nemesis is getting smacked-down by the NFL and the appellate courts.
