A leather-clad biker was riding through the Bronx zoo when he saw a little girl getting too close to the lion's cage.
Suddenly, the lion grabbed her, right in front of her screaming parents.
The biker jumped off his Harley, ran to the cage, and hit the lion with a powerful punch. The lion jumped back, letting go of the girl, and the biker took the girl to her terrified parents, who thanked him over and over.
A New York Times writer watched the whole scene, and addressing the biker, said, 'That was the bravest thing I've ever seen in my life.'
The biker replied, 'Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars, I just saw this kid in danger, and I did what I thought was right.'
The writer opened his notebook. 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a writer for the New York Times, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. What gang do you ride with?'
'The Republican Riders,' the biker answered.
The leftist propagandist nodded, made a few notes, and left abruptly.
The following morning the biker held his nose and bought a copy of the Times and read, on the front page: "Republican Assaults African Immigrant And Steals His Lunch."
It's an apocryphal story, humorless liberals....
