Number of Global Warming Sceptics GROWING: More than 650 Scientists

The UN global warming conference currently underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore. Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. The report has added about 250 scientists (and growing) in 2008 to the over 400 scientists who spoke out in 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.
The U.S. Senate report is the latest evidence of the growing groundswell of scientific opposition rising to challenge the UN and Gore. Scientific meetings are now being dominated by a growing number of skeptical scientists. The prestigious International Geological Congress, dubbed the geologists' equivalent of the Olympic Games, was held in Norway in August 2008 and prominently featured the voices and views of scientists skeptical of man-made global warming fears

The list includes nobel prize winners and of all the quotes this one is VERY key that proves that a lot of climatologists really go along with the prevailing view because of fears over their funding and job security:

Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” - Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

And Obama and Democrats want to spend tens of billions on a problem that is looking less and less like a problem every day with the number of sceptics growing.

The fact that they could only muster up 650 scientists from the entire population of scientists in the world (and I'm certain as shit that their standards aren't exacting) should tell you a lot about the provenance of this report from Inhofe and the like.

Let's be fair and remember those are only the ones who we KNOW are sceptics and have had the courage to make it known despite threats to funding and pressure from leftwing politicians and their departments. How many scientists have said that they are NOT sceptics.
We can't make the assumption that just because they choose to stay quiet means that they are believers in global warming.

I think I remember reading that many of the names were faked and that some were no longer alive.

What fields were these scientists in ? Biology ? Chemistry ? Were they all scientists in the area of climatology or closely related fields ?

Good question, from what I've seen they are all in climatology or related fields such as atmospheric science and geology. Did not see any biologists.

I am certain that every single scientist on the right would be as loud and obnoxious about it as possible, being the right is the most loud and obnoxious subset of the animal kingdom (they aren't human).

I love when someone points out that OTHER people also well versed in the scientific method disagree with some aspect of THEIR science then all of the sudden there is something wrong with all THOSE people. The Models used by NASA are failing all the time to accurately predict global warming, or the ones that have in the past are being seriously called into question, but when the chicken little global warming scientists use the same temps over again, then it's JUST A MISTAKE.

Soc, one month someone made a mistake and sent out the variables from the previous month instead of this month.

Suddenly, NASA is "all the time" failing.

This is rising to Limbaugh levels of disingenuous.

I love it when one side sees experts as justifying their stance.
But when they don't that same side says "we need more research".

The year I was born, NASA failed CHM 101 and as a result the Challenger blew up.
