Here is a sad column about a grandma who cares for her four grandchildren because the mom is a crack head who was doing drugs while having the children and their area is so dangerous social workers don't want to come by their house. I had a high school classmate that lived near this housing project and it is f'ing scary.

I don't claim to have some answer or solution for this type of extreme poverty and circumstances short of prayer that these kids find it in them to break this cycle they were born into.
