Obama appoints Tom Daschle to be healthcare "czar"

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama today announced that Sen. Tom Daschle (D) will head Health and Human Services and serve as the White House healthcare "czar" in his administration.

Daschle, a former South Dakota Senator and former Senate Majority Leader, will be charged with writing Obama's official healthcare plan

He previously indicated his enthusiasm for the potential post in Obama's cabinet and expressed an "interest" in universal health insurance, according to NationalJournal. com.

I'm having a real hard time caring about the HHS "Czar"... There are more important things to follow than that. Like whether Keyes' lawsuit is going to go anywhere.
