Almost 40% of William Howard Taft’s cabinet officials were from the private sector. Ike had nearly 60% of his appointees sporting private sector experience. Reagan had about 55% and George W. Bush about 53%. Even FDR and Truman had half their cabinet officials with private sector experience.

And Obama?

Less than 10%.

That means that only about 7% of Barack Hussein Obama’s cabinet appointees ever worked in the private sector. So is it any wonder that Barack Obama has become the president responsible for an unprecedented bloating of the federal government and a take over of power on a scale never before seen?

Nick Schulz published a great graph revealing the private sector experience of the appointees of every president since 1901. (Also heard Jerry Agar talking about this over the weekend on Chicago’s WGN)

Remembering that Barack Obama himself never held a real job his whole life the fact that he surrounds himself with government hacks, placemen, and hangerson yet is expected to be the one to fix the private sector economy and, well, we can see why he is failing so miserably. He has no life experiences to draw on and neither does anyone he’s asked to advise him.

No wonder America is on the fast track to socialism.

Good God, can you possibly be any more of a hack?

"Barack Obama himself never held a real job his whole life..."

Teaching constitutional law at a top-tier university for 12 years isn't a real job? Tell that to all the teachers of the world.

And you wonder why ultra-righties like you get no respect.

Can you imagine the government hiring people with experience in governing? It's ridiculous. What's next? Farmers hiring people with experience farming? Manufacturers hiring people with experience in manufacturing? Where will it end?

Imagine all of the silly possibilities if regular folks follow Obama's lead.

Please try to discuss this without screeching and whining. Thanks.

It's not a real job when you don't actually teach the constitution, but teach the idea of what you want the constitution to be and get compensated for your falsity.

I'm sure the founders felt that very same way.....oh, no. They actually didn't. :readit:

all of which has nothing to do with how elected officials are supposed to be.

The numbers are not credible due to this errant statement that Obama never held a real job. Apparently their criteria for private sector "real world jobs" uses some sort of strange definition.

Yeah, this graph is completely bogus.

I really doubt this is the only trick used, but since there does not appear to be a full account of methodology....

a) A variety of sources were consulted for this analysis, including the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia. In the rankings, I did not include prior private-sector experience for the following positions: Postmaster General; Navy; War; Health, Education & Welfare; Veterans Affairs; and Homeland Security. In the rankings, private-sector experience at a law firm counts for a 33% score, which I think is very generous. My wife strongly suggested raising this to 50%, but I refused.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that whenever anyone uses the full "Barack Hussein Obama" in their commentary, their credibility & creativity w/ the facts might be in question...

For once in your life, try to be intellectually honest. Most people do not use the middle names of individuals, unless they're a mother trying to make a stern point to a child.

The reason hacks use "Barack Hussein Obama" is obvious. You know why they use it.

It doesn't help that the writer doesn't seem to think teaching is a real job, either.

oh really, what about George W, or George HW, and lets not forget Billy "hound dog" Clinton...lol

That's embarassing. People used Bush's middle initial because his father, who was also President, was also named George Bush.

You know why people use "Hussein." Try to be honest.
