I swear, I'm convinced these idiots are smoking crack.

Clearly we couldn't afford it if we have to borrow money to fund them. Secondly, what in the world are they going to price a one year bond at? I'd feel much better and confident about a 12 month Cd with ING over the US gov't. These knuckleheads can't add one and one without coming up with 1/3.

Wait......Are the returns on treasury notes tax free?

Most states will provide a tax exemption on federal bonds, but they are taxable income on the federal level.
 
Side note Lady T.... with regards to their smoking crack.... please, that is not even close to being accurate. You are insulting crack addicts intelligence. Even a crack addict realizes the stupidity of that "stimulus package".
