Bush predicts Mideast peace pact by 2009

RAMALLAH, West Bank (CNN) -- President Bush met with Palestinian leaders in the West Bank on Thursday, predicting that a Middle East peace treaty would be signed by the time he leaves office in 2009.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas -- and a day after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert -- Bush said both men realize the importance of democratic states living together in peace.

Good for Bush. He has an outstanding track record of predictions, so we should all heed this.

I think he's picking the Jags this weekend, too.
 
I think it would be a great legacy for him to leave.

I hope its true, I want Peace in the mideast.
 
So this peace pact is going to work and after several thousand years of strife in the ME we will have peace ? :rolleyes:
