Police officer shoots and kills thug

This was in the local paper this morning. Sounds like an attorney may be trying to bring the cop up on murder charges. After watching the video do you think the cop overreacted by shooting the guy?

judging by the video alone i'd say that while 13 shots is excessive, I can't fault the cop for firing. What I saw as the dude jumped out of the passenger side was the guy digging around in his waistband, indicative of someone going for a gun. The cop also used bad tactics by not staying behind some sort of cover like the car door, instead leaving himself completely vulnerable.

Until something else is presented, I would say he was justified.
