Listen to what the leaders of this movement say, and what they advocate. Ask, does this sound like something Jesus Christ would have supported? Is it in line with Christ's teachings?

What are they saying and advocating? What did Jesus support? What are his teachings? I'm not from Missouri thank God but show us don't tell us.

Absolutely spot on. This is something to consider as we witness the ubiquitous occurrences of Global Warming and Climate Change.

It is as near inevitable as any thing you can predict.

If a society does not actively crush the political influence of a major religion, over time, it will always strive towards gaining enough power to implement the most extreme beliefs of that religion.

We see now the American Taliban (christians) attacking every element of woman's freedom of reproductive care, from the pill, to forms of fertilization assistance, to abortion and in almost every instance it is OLD WHITE MEN, who believe they should dictate what the woman should do (much like the Taliban hierarchy) , even when it comes to women trying to get pregnant and have a family (such as Alabama banning IVF).

Organized major religions are naturally and by default an authoritarian structure seeking absolute authoritarian control over all aspects of not only their adherents lives, but if they can gain force of law, they will impose their moral choices on to others at the threat of jail or death.

It is why societies like China ban religions, as they see it as a competing authoritarian system.

It is not politicians hijacking religion, but religions hijacking politics. Religions have always been businesses seeking to grow in power, wealth, and membership. They have fought religious wars as long as man has been "civilized". We have to get rid of their power. They create strife and hate. There will never be peace as long as they have control.
