Political Posturing to Influence Voters.

Anybody who thinks that political posturing influences voters is not dealing with reality.

NOTHING influences voters. NOTHING changes voters' minds.

Democrats will vote for Democrats no matter what.

And similarly, idiots will vote for idiots no matter what.

Election results do not vary because people change their minds.
People, at least principled ones, don't change their minds. We're entrenched.

What decides elections is who shows up to vote.
A politician who seeks the vote of somebody from the other side is incompetent.
Nothing he/she can say will accomplish that.

What a politician must do is say things that will get his/her own side off their asses and to the polls.
The side with the best turnout wins--end of story.

turnout is obviously the key.

only a moron thinks nothing impacts turnout

so you - the barely functioning retard - has an opinion that is so laughable stupid. I had to point it out

Tell me, Z, does it hurt to be as fucking dumb as you pathetically are?
Your parents belong in prison for not showing the mercy to euthanize you.
If this were a civilized society, that would have happened.

Where the fuck did I say that nothing impacts turnout?

What I said, and what anybody with a human intellect would have understood,
is that political rhetoric should be specifically aimed to impact turnout, NOT opinion.

Obviously, everybody should have you on ignore to avoid hemorrhaging IQ points by reading your posts.
I must have accidentally taken you off, but I'll fix that right now.

"NOTHING influences voters. "

derp derp

they are influenced to take time out of their day to vote. so like I said, you are a fucking retard. You are a joke. I sense you think of yourself as in intellectual, but that is laughable

While turnout is essential, I think there's more to it than that. There are a significant number of independents who do change their minds between elections, and getting them to switch can be crucial.

As for zymurgy's response, it's weird. He appears to be agreeing with what you actually said but thinking you said something different. Maybe I misunderstood?

Perhaps I live in a bubble without knowing it.

Off the top of my head, I honestly can't think of a single acquaintance of mine who's changed his/her mind, in any major way, politically.

Is that unique to my own social environment?

It would seem unlikely, but I suppose that it's possible.

The Revolution pretends that what the people think still matters as they do everything they can to prevent the ignorant cowards American masses waking up to how fucked we are.

I don't think anyone changes overnight. I went from a Republican to a Democrat over the course of about ten years, because for a long time I had a nagging sensation that liberals usually seemed to have better and more sophisticated arguments, morally and functionally.

false complexity is often a ruse to confuse stuipid people about simple truths.

you fell for it, dimwit.

Cynical but quite true. The (D)s would have to put up a candidate worse than #TRE45ON before I'd either not vote for president, or vote third party. Notice that I said nothing about switching to anything the (R)s put up.

this is just because you want to believe in simple binaries, so you can avoid complex thought, which you're actually bad at.

this is all cult bullshit.
