It will be interesting to see what excuse Biden will tell about his poor debate performance, a bad cold, studied too hard, not feeling great, and
jet lag — from a trip nearly two weeks earlier?!!:whoa: I only hope Biden and the White-house are not hiding a Biden condition, the stakes are too high?!!

The president has faced calls to drop out of the race following the debate.

President Joe Biden will sit down with ABC News for a Friday night primetime special in his first television interview since last week's presidential debate.

The president's poor performance in the debate has garnered calls for him to drop out of the race by politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Biden will speak to "Good Morning America" and "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos for the interview.

A first look will air on the Friday, July 5, edition of "World News Tonight with David Muir" and the interview will air in its entirety as a primetime special Friday, July 5 at 8/7c on ABC News.

The interview and additional analysis will air again Sunday, July 7 on "This Week."

Biden, 81, has been criticized for his uneven performance in the debate. Texas Rep. Lloyd Doggett became the first House Democrat to call on Biden to withdraw as nominee Tuesday.

Despite some calls for him to step aside, most Democrats have continued to support Biden as the nominee.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told MSNBC on Tuesday that the president had "a bad night," but added, "He has judgment. He has strategic thinking and the rest."

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, who is running for reelection in Pennsylvania, threw his support behind Biden Monday afternoon when asked about the president's debate performance, telling reporters he is confident Biden can run a strong reelection race and serve a second term.

"No, I don't worry about that. Look, he had a bad night in the debate, but I think people know what's at stake," he said.

How will a scripted interview with a friendly news source, that will be doing it at a time of day on a day of the week, where Biden is reasonably awake and alert going to convince anyone with a reasonably open mind that he isn't a senile octogenarian who can't even tie his own shoes?

“friendly news source” means news source that MAGA doesn’t like because it doesn’t promote Trump and even reports honest news regarding Trump

Their denominator of what is an acceptable news source is Fox, the only news source to lose a three quarter billion dollar lawsuit for flat out lying with a similar lawsuit still in the Courts

And by the way, over seven and half million Americans every night watch David Muir, while Fox’s best rated show a only draws a million and half, seems most don’t view the media the same as MAGA
