problem with editing posts

when i try to edit a post, initially, i have to set the cursor twice before it will stay where i want it, otherwise it will go back to the beginning of the original post (before the [quote)

when i click on 'edit post', the cursor goes to just before the '[QUOTE' or top of page of the entire post and if i click on another spot in the post it returns to the top of page of the entire post (including the original post) and requires another click to get the cursor to where i want it
