Wasn't the bailout supposed to restore confidence in the markets?

Wasn't that one of the selling points? Wall street doesn't like your bailout because they know it fixes nothing.The proof they don't like it is in the desperate selloff we're seeing today.

I can't imagine how retarded you have to be to pronounce the bailout a failure after 1 day, when nothing about it has even been implemented yet.
