Representative Trey Radel, Republican of Florida, will resign from Congress.


The district in Southwest Florida is solidly Repulican, and his resignation is unlikely to benefit Democrats. But while Mr. Radel was still in rehab, a growing number of prominent Republicans — including the state’s governor and the chairman of the Florida Republican Party — called for his resignation.
