the kids have gotten wrong only twice, once in 48 just like Gallup and then again in 1960 with the election of John Kennedy. So they are due huh?
 
This was a poll of 250k children. They listen to their parents at home and choose according to what they hear. The fact that the poll has been right every time but twice in 60 years says something.
 
Yeah, 1948 is the quintesential, "fuck the pollsters" moment in history. 1960 was also messed up, with Nixon sufforing from the economic downturn of 1957 and JFK lying through his teeth about bombers and missiles, and playing old school in IL and TX.

Can't knock the kids for those two years...
