Scientists say they have found a workable way of reducing CO2 levels in the atmosphere by adding lime to seawater. And they think it has the potential to dramatically reverse CO2 accumulation in the atmosphere

What will raising alkalinity do to sea life? Sounds like a stupidly dangerous and short sighted idea to me.

And as temperatures rise (since it has been repeatedly shown that temps go up BEFORE CO2 increases) the oceans will just give up the extra CO2 anyway.

We know what changing the PH does to sea life. It aint good either. Why not just pour battery acid in the oceans? It'd probably work faster than lime.

I agree with you. I think worrying about CO2 altogether is a waste of time. I posted the article because it's news. I don't think it would make any difference to the global temp if we did this or not.
