cool beans!

Fleury is unconscious! Ovetchkin is a scoring animal!
It's gonna be a good one.

If Das Kapitals win, Pittsburgh fans won't be able to talk shit about Ovechkin's lack of a title anymore. :D

But, I digress, my rooting matrix won't permit me to cheer for a DC team unless it is playing a southern team. I'm all in for this upstart Lost Wages franchise. :woot:

As a die hard Penguins fan, I don't think we "talk shit" about Ovechkin's lack of a title. Whether he gets his name on the Stanley Cup or not is irrelevant to how good a player he is. There's no question he'll be in the Hockey HOF, Stanley Cup or not, and deservingly so. It's the media who plays this up.
True Hockey fans have a respect for players of his caliber, even if they play for rival teams.

BTW, did you see the ovation Fleury got when he came back into Pitt for his first game with Vegas?

Yep, fans are usually pretty good at recognizing their former stars. The first time the Reds came to Seattle for interleague play, we gave Griffey a well-deserved standing ovation.

Just as McCutchen did when he came back to Pitt.
True sports fans retain their respect for great players, even if they leave their favorite teams.
