Looks like Gen. David Petraeus is going to recommend that we discontinue the drawdown. Can anyone remember what he said the reason for the surge was in the first place? Wasn't it to put down the violence so that the Iraqi's could be in charge of security? Well that shit didn't seem to work. The recent fighting by the Iraqi army showed them to still be ill prepared for their jobs. Without US/UK support the Iraqi army would have been lucky to take the 1/4 of the city they took. The Iraqi's have become acustomed to the US Teet. Why is it that conservatives will tell you the only way for people to make it is to make them stand on their own two feet but when it comes to Iraq, we seem content to watch them crawl around and maybe practice walking if we old their hands and put their feet on ours. I am tired of the infant Iraq, it is time for a free standing Iraq. If they can't do it how long are we responsible for it?

Who was the idiot that selected their target? That was stupid. Then to have us right there with them... Yeah. That was one of the poorest planned psy-ops EVER.

What is it about Iraq that makes all of our leaders so stupid?
