Syria to allow UN probe of alleged nuclear site

VIENNA, Austria (AP) - Syria will allow in U.N. inspectors to probe allegations that a remote building destroyed in an Israeli airstrike was a nuclear reactor built secretly with North Korean help, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Monday.

The invitation signaled the start of an international fact check of U.S. and Israeli assertions that Damascus had tried to build a plutonium-producing facility under the radar of the international community.

'There you go again'....!

This will be interesting to see if we were lied to again.

How long has it been since Israel bombed the target?...Plenty of time to cover up and remove evidence...why did they not allow this way back when it happened...you answer this one Einstein!

Why should they have? What would have been the benefit to them?

In any event, I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that the Israelis and Syrians are engaged in *gasp* diplomatic negotiations.

Hmmm . . . maybe there is something to this diplomacy thing after all. Someone send John McCain a memo.

Uh-oh, this can't be good. No one could have predicted, if it turns out to be a fertilizer plant.

One thing the Bush years have taught me: Always trust the UN IAEA inspectors, and never trust BushCo. and his supporters.

Moving nuclear material is not like moving furniture. It leaves footprints that last a long time.

Umm some radioactives will still be present if they ever were.

Good Bush preapology though.

Good call. My reaction exactly: BB already has the Bush apology worked out.

Keep in mind, BB is a mindless moron who doesn't understand even the most rudimentary concepts of basic chemistry; nor would he know that there are tools to measure any alleged nuclear activity through environmental mediums.

BB the yellow cake in Syria was Duncan Hines.
But there was some aluminum tubes they were making candles with...
