"Fannie Mae caused this mess, and their fix will only make things worse."

Fannie Mae, that little spendthrift tartlet and loose date for the Democrats, has found a new way to squander money and wreck America's financial institutions. Fannie's "Deed for Lease" program would allow homeowners who do not qualify for mortgage adjustments to deed the property back to the lender, who would then rent it back to them at market rate. Essentially, homeowners in foreclosure would be allowed to switch from ownership to renting their property.

On average the conservatives are 100x more correct on business and economics yet equally inept on social issues. Damm shame we can't get a third party with fiscal conservatives and socially progressive.

It would get owned so hard in the ass it wouldn't be funny. And it's that many fewer Republican votes. :clink:

This will also have the added benefit of destroying neighborhoods. Rental property is notorious for devaluing adjacent homes. Once again the folks who pay their bills get boned up the ass by Democrats.
 
Ron Paul is wrong.

The Gold standard was left because countries were manipulating the price of gold.

The fools that continue to think Fannie mae caused this are laughed at by all those who understand the markets.

Gee what a horrible program that allows people who would soon be homeless to stay and pay market rate rent instead.

Think about the horror this creates for the family. They get to not rip there kids out of school and home and stay where they already live not incurring the cost of moving and the social stigma of having their neighbors and coworkers be privey to their finacial problems.

Keep claiming it was fannie that created this problem and your party will never be trusted to understand the finacial world.
