The Al-Queda in Iraq lie!

When the Bush administration talks about "Al Queda in Iraq" they are not talking about the same Al Queda they discuss when they discuss Al Queda in general. This is merely a perception game. "Al Queda in Iraq" is the name the Bush Administration has given to those fighting America in Iraq.

Its like saying "Mission Accomplished". They figure if we call the orginization "Al Queda in Iraq" people will believe it is somehow associated with the Regular Al Queda.

Actually, when al-Zarqawi's group was created they started by declaring allegiance to the Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network in October 2004, the group identifies itself as Tanzim Qaidat Al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn.

Anyway , it is because of the declaration of allegiance that they are called al Qaeda in Iraq, or AQI... That and the fact that they claimed responsibility for their attacks under the name of "Al Qaeda in Iraq".

They actually have recently changed their name to "The Islamic State of Iraq" or ISI and have since then claimed their attacks under the ISI name.

rwa says:

Is that what obama meant too when he referenced Alquaeda in Iraq?

[PBS Interview with Sabah Khodada]
FL: That was your reaction on September 11 -- that some of these people might be involved?
SK: I assure you, this operation was conducted by people who were trained by Saddam. And I'm going to keep assuring the world this is what happened.

FL: Did you hear that some of those training at the camp were working for] Osama bin Laden?
SK: Nobody came and told us, "This is Al Qaeda people," but I know there were some Saudis, there were some Afghanis. There were some other people from other countries getting trained. They didn't tell us they were part of Al Qaeda; there's no such thing. ... In this camp, we know that those are Saudis, or Arabs are getting trained. Nobody will talk about Al Qaeda or any other organization.

FL: In the conversations that you had with the Ghost and with others, was it clear that they were involved in international terrorism -- that that's what the object here was, to send people out to do missions?
SK: They all say it. On January 1, 1996, we all met with Saddam personally. And he told us we have to take revenge from America. Our duty is to attack and hit American targets in the Gulf, in the Arab world, and all over the world. He said that openly.

Jarod is an Auburn fan. He knows no better. Please go easy on him.

Well Auburn is certainly no Alabama, but it is still far better than a PAC 10 fan.

You Sir are a hater. Take your hippie communist *ss back to the lower part of your state and root for the Communist Eastern Conference.

And don't be afraid to give me a call if you would like me to donate some money to the Ralph Nader fund for SEC people who suck!!!
