Looks like the 911 commission was stonewalled about even more than they thought.




The commission’s mandate was sweeping and it explicitly included the intelligence agencies. But the recent revelations that the C.I.A. destroyed videotaped interrogations of Qaeda operatives leads us to conclude that the agency failed to respond to our lawful requests for information about the 9/11 plot. Those who knew about those videotapes — and did not tell us about them — obstructed our investigation.

There could have been absolutely no doubt in the mind of anyone at the C.I.A. — or the White House — of the commission’s interest in any and all information related to Qaeda detainees involved in the 9/11 plot. Yet no one in the administration ever told the commission of the existence of videotapes of detainee interrogations.

Suprisingly, most sane people now just take it for granted that BushCo. lies.


Yeah, this is serious stuff. I think they destroyed the tapes, because legally, its evidence of war crimes. Under existing law. Sadly, too many pansy assed dems in congress will be unwilling to do anything about it.

The 911 comission does not trust the 911 commission report and still people think it is silly to question the reports "findings".


This is one more nail in the coffin of a dying trust for anything undertaken in this current administration.

They tell the people nothing but lies.

The DoJ has initiated a criminal investigation into the destruction of the tapes and has appointed an outside prosecutor to investigate the matter. Apparently, the guy that got the nod to conduct the investigation is a tough cookie with a history of investigating corruption in federal agencies. He was one of the lead prosecutors in the case against the New England mafia and FBI informants.

should continue to destroy anything that has intelligence value...y'all on the far left demand total release of all pending or former information to be released to the public view...you have no idea how the enemy would love this...unless y'all really are the enemy! At the least you do enable the enemy to get the upper hand with all this ranting and demanding!
