Tim McCarthy was shot defending then-president Ronald Reagan in 1981. The former Secret Service agent says the agency failed Donald Trump despite his surviving the assassination attempt.

Incendiary political language has consequences. Donald Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen agitated his supporters and culminated in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol. The assassination attempt against Mr. Trump follows years of relentless attacks from left-wing media and many in the Democratic Party, who likened the former president to Hitler and claimed his re-election would end democracy.

The Trump-Hitler comparisons started during the 2016 campaign, accelerated after the 2017 rally by white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., and reached a fever pitch in recent months.

 
The Dems demonizing an opponent is their dog whistle to harm the opponent. Deranged people listen to them and feel justified in their actions.
 
Assassination has, from the beginning of time, been an optional political strategy.
It has nothing to do with incendiary political language.
It has to do with full commitment to an ideology, be it benign or malignant.
The attempt on Trump's life was a benign but failed attempt.

Trump survived an assassination attempt and still is campaigning.

And slow joke joe will be missing the millions of bribes that his drug infested son got from our foreign enemies.
We all should feel bad for joke joe, as the dems are now calling him very patriotic for his or for his puppet masters
decision to have him sit out the next election in the confines of his Delaware hide-away home.
