It doesn't really work anymore. After everyone has seen how a 5-time draft dodger & son of privelege who used his connections to get out of harm's way have so carelessly sacrificed the lives of so many, no one sees the GOP as all that friendly to "the troops." They just used the troops for political purposes, and as cannon fodder in a dishonest, unnecessary war. That's not supporting 'em.

The jig is up. The only people who buy it are you, Hannity & the dittoheads.

You forgot all of the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Air Men. There is a reason that Bill Clinton rarely gave speeches at Military Bases. (I cannot recall a single instance)
