Recent studies conducted by Jim Treacher prove there are more dumb American hipsters into communism than previously thought, so the next time you encounter one, try to explain the failed Soviet experiment of the 20th century to them in the simplest possible terms.

1. The state always wants big government projects to justify its existence.
2. The state always runs out of money.
3. The state then sacrifices its own people for the good of the state.
4. Rinse. Repeat.

Have you read it?

And before you go on a rant...yes...we know...command and control economics have been as thoroughly reputed and discredited as supply side economics. It's well known and no one is looking under their beds for commies any more.
That is completely bogus and bullshit..this video has nothing to do with economics.....supply side or any other side....what a freakin' hack you are.....

1....Supply-side economics is a school of economic thought that argues that economic growth can be most effectively created by lowering barriers for people to produce (supply) goods and services....a Free Market Economy

2....So called Command and Control is an economic system in which the central leaders or government control industry such that it makes major decisions regarding the production, workers, and distribution of goods and services,.....Communism/Socialism being the end result ......

Two totally opposite forms of economic thought ....and a Free Market Economy is what made this country, and all western like countries, the richest in the world....
what the hell made you such an ignorant fool....total brainwashing by liberal socialism ?....

When planners decide what should be produced and direct lower-level enterprises to produce goods according to their national and social objectives, you have the birth of "Command and Control"(Socialist)Economics

....this is exactly what Democrats do when applying the tax code to direct social and economic changes to what they perceive as good or bad.......they want to control...to dictate, to force business and the populace to act in a certain manner as per their directives.......

To put an end to this kind of central control and restore freedom to all, the right wants to institute a flat tax, free of loopholes and free of favors and special breaks only available to some...to lessen central control over society.........

Sure you did Bravo.

Wait, I am going to save time and reply to post 6 now too.

What an idiot.

That is all. Thanks

P.S. If you post anything else today, just refer to "What an idiot" above for my response.

Don't waste your time pinhead....I've joined the now growing group of posters that seldom, if ever, read anything you post.....I tried and it just ain't worth the time...

Stupidity really doesn't earn a response....but I thought I'd be nice and save you from wasting keystrokes and bandwidth that others can use....

Talk about a stretch.

Digging a canal has nothing to do with sharing anymore than free capitalism supports the right to rob banks. Liberals talk about helping the less fortunate through financial contributions/taxes. The only physical work involved is sitting on ones ass and writing a check.

I remember next to nothing of the details of either book....the show trials and lies to prisoners family's......the built your own prison before winter or die....come to mind....the prison in Moscow...the executions with lone shot to back of the head....
Both should be required reading for students....

financial contributions/taxes ?

Are you seriously trying to equal taxes with charity....

I didn't read it that way, someone was complaining about helping the poor through taxes, he is stating that one can either pay taxes, write your check and help the poor or pay through a charity, write a check and pay, both don't involve actually interacting with the impoverished.

Did i get it right, apple?

Glad I can be of help, no need to thank me, bravo, I know you thank me for my contribution on here, often! Did you miss me?

One of my dad's favorite reads in the 70s was Will the Soviet Union Survive until 1984? He got my brother to read it a short while back, and has explained the background of the critique pretty well. One reason why he liked it was because he could walk into any coffee house in Seattle at that time, and hear lefties talking about how the standard of living was better in the USSR, and how the US was failing miserably (of course, life in Seattle during the 70s was essentially a great depression, as the unemployment hit 12% in 1969, setting the following decade into motion). He had a similar lack of information as they did (minus reading materials such as that book), but couldn't see how they could be close to correct.
