CBS News correspondent Michelle Miller reports that, historically, the unemployment rate for African Americans has always been higher than the national average. However, now it's at Depression-era levels. The most recent figures show African American joblessness at 16.2 percent. For black males, it's at 17.5 percent; And for black teens, it's nearly 41 percent.

Not exactly.

My main point was that many capitalists might think twice before employing someone who votes to make doing business harder for the business owner, or employer.

Many blacks support Obama, and Obama is about as much a socialist, and anti-business as you can get.

Kids don't have to know as much in todays schools.

The reason the grades are up (if they're up) is because the schools are making it easier on th kids.

Not to mention teachers that unfairly help kids,,,,,, to make the schools, and teachers look like they're doing a better job.

Wow...so not a one of those kids whose grades are up can say it was because he tried harder and not because schools are making it easier?

You really don't have a very high opinion of black kids ability to do better.
