We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
 
I've gotta say, I am genuinely concerned for you. Obsession is a VERY unhealthy thing. It can be debilitating.

Where was this guys concern for our freedoms when Bush lied our country into war or spied on its own people?

Well, it's only logical to compare any potential candidate to the person who currently holds the office they are seeking. Personally, I'm optimistic for America, for the 1st time in ages, no matter who wins in November, by virtue only of the comparison of either candidate to the flunkie disaster who you voted for TWICE.

Its not a moot point at all. You register for selective service if you are male. It wouldn't take much to institute a draft.

I can handle that. He backs the GOP, and voted for Bush in the last 2 elections. He will support McCain in 2008, and whoever the GOP candidate is in 2012, when Obama is running for re-election.
