Former President Donald Trump threatened ABC in an interview on Fox News Saturday — claiming he was treated “very unfairly” during the network’s Sept. 10 debate. And yet despite his lingering gripes with the network, he maintained the debate against Vice President Kamala Harris was his “strongest ever.”
In an interview on One Nation With Brian Kilmeade Saturday, the former president crowed about his performance on Sept. 10.
“I thought it was a great debate for me,” Trump said. “I thought it was one of my best debates that I’ve ever had. And some people disagree, but I thought it was the strongest debate I ever had.”
A New York Times poll published Thursday found 67 percent of Americans believe Harris did “well” in the debate, compared to only 40 percent who think Trump did well.
Despite the boasts about his performance, Trump quickly turned his attention to ABC — and moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis.
“I thought I was treated very unfairly by ABC,” Trump said. “It was three on one, but that was OK too. I thought we did really well. We exposed it.”
