And yet those who study mass shootings say they are not becoming more common.

"There is no pattern, there is no increase," says criminologist James Allen Fox of Boston's Northeastern University, who has been studying the subject since the 1980s, spurred by a rash of mass shootings in post offices.

...

Chances of being killed in a mass shooting, he says, are probably no greater than being struck by lightning.

and yet each and every time the left and the right, mostly the left, use mass shootings to further their public agenda. imo, the real issue isn't gun control, it is addressing societal problems, perceptions, relationships etc. further, if a psycho wants a gun to kill, unless you have an outright ban on all guns that magically can detect any gun, the psycho will find a gun.

it's how the takers operate. it's actually rather scary. they are propaganda machines. We really need to round up all the takers and drop them in the middle of the pacific.

i don't think it is just takers. there are people like ugly young boys, evince etc....who are scared witless of guns and will do anything to take away our rights to own guns because of their irrational fear.

instead of focusing on taking away guns, how about addressing society's mindset?
