Unlike the secretive Bush regime, the Obama administration will demonstarte openess by publicly releasing the names of most visitors to the White House, starting at the end of this year.

The Obama administration will post the visitor logs online for all to see.

MOST names? That's not good enough, you moron. Why would you think it would be? Why would anyone? Get a life and stop being so stupid.

President Obama will preside over the most open White House in history.

It’s historic; it’s ground-breaking. It’s as important a transparency mechanism as has been instituted in decades.

Americans have a right to know whose voices are being heard in the policymaking process.

On average, between 70,000 and 100,000 people visit the White House monthly, including tourists. The Obama White House will release guest lists for all official functions at the president's residence.

There is no transparency in the White House, far from it. Obama broke another promise.

the white house is not a private residence. we all own a little piece of it.

It is a private residence for the president and his family.

Doesn't the bank own part of your residence?
Should they require a guest list for your home?

Not saying the pres should not provide a guest list, but I can see why a few might not be reported.

and if he has someone over for dinner and drinks to celebrate his wifes birthday or some other crap, that should indeed be private. If he invites 5 oil company CEOs over to discuss energy policy, no privacy allowed.

Oil co execs right. However if it is a cia briefing or somech a valid national seucrity thing then not on list.

I think we pretty much agree on this.
That not all visitors need to be on the list.
