Former President Donald Trump lauded a wealthy donor on whom he bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom as having gotten the "better" award compared to the top military honor, the Medal of Honor, because those recipients are often deceased or injured.

Speaking at a campaign event intended to discuss antisemitism, Trump was introduced by Miriam Adelson, a wealthy Republican donor and widow of Sheldon Adelson, who pumped millions of dollars of his own money into electing Republican candidates. He died in 2021.

Trump had no respect for John McCain, and it wasn't just because McCain turned out to be a traitor
with his vote in the senate, but because Trump and myself as a combat veteran had little to no respect
for people honoring McCain for his duty in Vietnam where he was hailed as a hero. A hero doesn't
get thrown into a prison for anything he had done such as saving another soldier(s) in combat duty
etc., no, he did no such thing, he got caught and became a prisoner, end of story. He's no hero. Tell us
about how Bill Clinton went AWOL when his draft notice came to being, and then how he wrote a
letter explaining how he despised the military and that he would in no way serve. Did Obama, Biden

He underwent individual combat training with Company Y, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, and basic infantry training with the Basic Infantry Training Company, 2nd Infantry Training Regiment, completing the latter in November 1967. He was promoted to private first class on November 1, 1967.

In January 1968, he arrived in the Republic of Vietnam, and served as a reconnaissance scout with Company A, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

They showed a montage on one of the cable shows of all of the disparaging remarks he has made about the military & military service.

It's really jaw-dropping. I still remember when he went after McCain and the whole "like the guys who weren't captured" thing. I was SURE that was it for him. Republicans have always talked such a big game about being the party of the military.

But here they are, trashing Walz's service, and hyping a guy who truly does think soldiers are losers. How far that party has fallen.

Walz lost much of his hearing serving America. Limbaugh lost much of his hearing using illegal drugs. trump does not see the difference.
