I said when Elon first announced he was buying it, that it had nothing to do with 'Free Speech'. And the right audience does not want Free Speech.
The right audience wants right controlled speech and they have applauded all of Elon's censorship since taking over because he is censoring the people they approve of.
But what Elon is learning is that Right crap does not sell. Right crap needs to get on to left and centrist platforms where they can troll to survive, and thus why they did not like Twitter or FB banning them.
Very similar to Conspiracy talk. It needs to invade already successful platforms to survive as a circle jerk of hateful people on the right or CS'ers, never grows beyond their hating crazy base.

And Twitter.... errrr 'X' will be instantly in significant litigation if they try to create any brand value under the name 'X'. Owning the web domain is fine, but venturing out to try and create any brand value smacks right into the IP (Patents, Trademarks) held by these two giant companies and many other smaller ones (including Porn companies).
Meta, in particular has patents and trademark protection over many of the areas Elon is trying to capture in the online banking segments, as FB had that sector in its sites years ago.
Just more proof of how the 'right' brain disease overwhelms any logic or common sense and as we say...
