The UN Security Council mandate approving their presence expires at the end of the year.
This explains the bush shuffle. Will the UN extend the mandate ?
will we stay anyway if they don't extend it.

Time's up for the failed neocon war machine on all levels.

By the end of the year Obama will take office and negotiations can begin to withdraw US troops out of Iraq .. just like the Iraqis want us to do.

They've run out of time.
 
John Kerry had a very interesting question the other night on Olbermann. He asked, "How long does it take to build and train a national army?" Christ the US went from a small army to a massive war machine in less than a year after Pearl Harbor. The Iraqi's have had 5 years to build and train a military and nada, zip zero zilch, they can't take care of their own country by themselves.
