Volkswagen electric car sales plunge as Europe returns to petrol

In February, battery-electric cars held a market share of 12% (stable compared to February 2023), while hybrid-electric cars captured nearly 29%. The combined market share of petrol and diesel cars was 48.4% in February 2024, a decrease from 51.9% last year.

The Truth is that the EU is seeing the invasion of Chinese EVs...which are well made and much cheaper than European made. This his to do with the deindustrialization of Europe which is driven by high energy costs caused by the Wests insanity in Ukraine against Russia.

The China data is interesting. I suspect they’ll take the lead in developing more efficient EVs just like the Japanese did for cars in the 70s.
