The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has released results from an investigation they did into how law enforcement agencies use cellphone tracking. The results, they concluded, are troubling. While virtually all 200 police agencies that were contacted by the ACLU said they used cellphone tracking, very few obtained warrants to do so, the report said.

"The government's location tracking policies should be clear, uniform, and protective of privacy, but instead are in a state of chaos, with agencies in different towns following different rules — or in some cases, having no rules at all. It is time for Americans to take back their privacy. Courts should require a warrant based upon probable cause when law enforcement agencies wish to track cell phones," the ACLU reported.

We gave up the actual law quite a few years back. I'd say it's time for Americans to take back the Constitution and oust the losers the sheeple have voted for and allow to control our lives.

Big Brother

one should really take time to define just who big brother is and the article in the OP does a good job of this..

the cellphone service companies have contracted with thousands of local law enforcement agencies to provide this info, meaning that your local law enforcement agencies are spending OUR/YOUR tax dollars to get this information. This isn't a constitutional issue at this point because YOU probably signed away your right to keep this info from government when you put your name to the contract.

we have identified the enemy, and it is us.

Us? Or just the weak little sisters in our midst?
