What is the future of USAID?

Hey there, folks!

I recently came across this article talking about what's going on with USAID and how the Trump administration's policy changes are shaking things up in the world of international aid. It got me concerned by a few important things. With programs for diseases like malaria and HIV winding down, along with cuts to education and human rights assistance, there could be some serious fallout in terms of humanitarian issues. What do you think the social ramifications will be? And how might it impact migration and security in areas where these programs were a big deal?

It's a situation that is particularly tricky in the Balkans, where the nation is facing instability and tough times financially. Without that help from international groups, things could get even more dicey.

USAID is primarily a Democrat slush fund.
I say slash and burn.
USAID is also a tool of the CIA and their nefarious doings.
USAID is a tool of the international socialist/communist movement determined to break down societies through perverted wokism so that their despotic takeover can more easily be achieved.

I didn't say that. Foreign aid could continue, it just doesn't through an America hating, often enemy supporting agency.
There’s no evidence to suggest that USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, hates America. USAID is a government agency established in 1961 under the U.S. Department of State to administer foreign aid and development assistance. Its stated mission is to promote democratic values, economic growth, and stability in partner countries, often aligning with U.S. foreign policy interests—like countering influence from rivals or supporting allies. The idea of it "hating America" contradicts its purpose, which is rooted in advancing American goals abroad.

Yes, there is. It depends on who you ask. Supporters and the Progressive Left would agree with the above. Conservatives and the Right would say the organization hates America and works to undermine the country abroad.

As one example.

Or, USAID going to Afghanistan...

The problem with USAID's world health good deeds is the same problem with Al Capone when he built playgrounds for the neighborhoods of Chicago.

When Doge and Trump axed USAID it made me realize that without it I don't see much point to the USA.
