What were those capmpaign promises, again?

What were those campaign promises, again?

Before the 2006 midterm election, consumer confidence was high; gas sold for around $2.25-a-gallon, and unemployment was at 4.5%.

Since the 'Crats took over the reins on the Hill, consumer confidence has sunk; gas costs around $3.50 a gallon; unemployment is at 5%; homeowners have watched their equity drop by over a trillion dollars, one percent of US homes is in foreclosure.

The Democrat-controlled Congress, in appreciation for a job well done, voted to increase their own salaries.
