I do think most of the social programs that claimed to be helping blacks have done them a disservice.

I am a firm believer that the ones claiming to be doing so much to fight racism have done their race more harm than good. By them I mean the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of this world. They have continually told the blacks that they cannot succeed in the "real" world without their help, and if they fail (even if they fail to try) it is not their fault or their responsibility, it is all to be blamed on racism.


I think that is even worse than racism. Racism they can fight. Being told they cannot succeed, if they believe it, is something they have a much tougher time fighting.
 
Solitary, we white people must come to realize, that the hardships the black people are currently undergoing, are ultimately our fault.
 
What has Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the rest of the leaders of the Black community that have said that Obama is not black enough said about Obama's apparent victory? I have not seen anything.

Placing blame for things done does not change what must BE done to help themselves now.

Yes, white people are responsible for what happened. But white people are not responsible for the abysmal failures by blacks in schools. We are not the ones who place social pressures to avoid "trying to be white" by placing value on an education.

Obama is black - the first serious black contender, and from that, the first to win the nomination.

And blacks are voting for him.

Yes we are. Centuries of telling blacks that they're stupid has an effect, and you only stand to reinforce that.

Rascism is never justified.

being against any indivudual regardless of color is justified though.
I don't care if Bush was A purple Chinaman, I would still say he is a stupid evil asshole.

Yet liberals use exactly these racist slurs to denigrate African-Americans they disagree with politically.
