No wonder we are getting so confused as to which war we are fighting. Poor Dixie is just the first victim of this confusion, he is just seeing things through Rice's eyes, while our CIC is looking at things though the eyes of Rummy, who underwent surgery today to have a brain tumor removed.

Bush Compares War in Iraq To World War II

President Bush used the terrorists' own words Tuesday to battle complacency among Americans about the threat of possible future attacks, defending his record in the war on terror as the fall campaign season kicks into high gear

hahahahaha! That deserves an award: Understatment of the year.

I'd say its more akin to the 15-year long anti-american Filipino insugency. The historical parallels are quite apt:

1) Supicions that we were lied into a war.

2) An implied promise that we would liberate the filipinos from their authoritarian overlords, and turn their country back over to them quickly and our forces would leave.

3) A long and bloody insurgency against an american occupation.
