Why did McCain vote for a bill that's loaded with earmarks?

The bailout bill. Didn't he say he'd veto every bill that had earmarks in it when he's president? ...Oh wait! He's not president yet. Big difference! Well at least his running mate is against earmarks too....well she does have a history with using earmarks......
