Will the Marine Recruiting Center in Berkeley be bombed next?

The various whackos in Berkeley, up to and including the City Council, has been having a grand time telling the local Marines they were not wanted, calling them "invaders", "murderers", etc. How whacky do they have to get, to decide that planting a bomb at the recruitment station is a good idea? Especially with the example set by another such whacko in New York City the other day?

Forget gun control on homeowners, rednecks, etc. Maybe the gun-grabbers need to concentrate their efforts against liberal fruitcakes who don't like the armed services. They might actually make us safer for a change.

Activists Fear Bombing At Berkeley Marine Recruiting Center

BERKELEY, Calif. -- After a bombing at a Marine recruiting center at Times Square in New York City, Bay Area military supporters came to Berkeley City Hall Thursday to express concerns that the city's Marine recruiting center could suffer a similar attack.

Melanie Morgan, a former talk show host at KSFO radio in San Francisco and member of the conservative grass roots political organization "Move America Forward," said she and her group are very concerned.

"This is an escalation, let there be no mistake. This is an escalation of hostility against our troops and their mission," said Morgan, co-founder of the group.

Morgan said she was calling on Berkeley mayor Tom Bates to ensure the recruiting center would be protected from a bombing of any kind.

She and other protesters visited Bates' office but he was not there.

"We are going to hold the city council of Berkeley and the Mayor, Thomas Bates, accountable for any blood that may be spilled here," said Morgan.

They spoke to City Council Member Gordon Wozniak, NBC11's Jodi Hernandez reported.

Wozniak told Morgan and her group that he felt the situation warranted extra security.

"We would not want something like this to happen in Berkeley," Wozniak said. "I think it deserves some additional protection."

NBC11 found several Berkeley police officers stationed in front of or near the Marine recruiting center Thursday.

Police have stepped up their patrols some, but had already increased security at the building since a series of protests surrounding a letter written by the city calling the Marines "unwanted invaders."

Melanie Morgan, fresh from being canned by wingnut radio, just keeps getting nuttier. Someone find that woman a job.

LOL. It appears that Darla tried to distance herself by saying "Right-wing"...

:D

If you have any information leading to a suspect of any wing you should alert the authorities immediately.

If not...you are making assumptions, and pretty obvious ones at that.

Yes, but I'm having fun and all.

It is Friday. Don't take things so seriously. Did I forget the disclaimer for the humorless again? I'm sorry. It should have had an added note that said something like this:

Note for BAC, Onceler and Darla... This is sarcasm...

:D

(Note: This is sarcasm about sarcasm and is therefore twice as funny!)

Hey, check it out. Darla blithely accuses "rightwingers" of bombing the New York station... and less than an hour later, she can be found solemnly instructing people not to make assumptions and telling them they should call the cops if they suspect "any wing".

That leftwing attention span keeps getting shorter and shorter, doesn't it? Fortunately for their extreme-liberal candidates, who will need the shortest attention spans possible in their constituents.
