As things stand now... Democrats will be in controll of 2/3rds of the Federal Gov.

It looks like the Democrats will retain control of the White House and the SEnnate.

Will the Republicans who will most likely retain the House continue to practice obstructionism?

If that happens, are we doomed to another four years of slow recovery just because the R's want to prevent Obama from having a posative legacy?

oddly, they've been in control of 2/3rd of the federal government for two years and 3/3rds of it for the other two.......yet we still have a slow recovery....

The Recovery started when the Democrats had more control and has been very sluggish ever sense the Repugs started there obstructionist policy. It really backfired on them!

That's right. The inept GOP could only slow us down. Because we are Americans Goddamnit!! A National Mall filled with Teatards can't stop us from moving FORWARD!!

The crash started after the Dims took complete control of the Congress in '07

Your "recovery" is in your imagination....unless recovery means deeper debt, high unemployment and a stagnant economy to you

I wonder if one might also conclude the recovery started in 2010......

Are you fucking serious?

Please tell me you're not that damn stupid.

Policies that caused the crash were put in place long before then.

The 'Dims' as you call them, didn't deregulate wall street. The executive branch is responsible for staffing all federal regulatory agencies. The executive branch submits the budget requests for those agencies.

Fuck me, people, don't post in threads when you don't have clue what you're talking about.

Hazlenut, what would you consider Clinton signing the repeal of Glass-Steagal or deregulating the derivatives market?

so basically if everything goes well, it's because democrats rock and are super awesome at legislating and running the country, but if everything still sucks, it's the fault of the republicans.

You're forgetting about the Federal Courts aren't you? There are significantly more Federal judges who are Republican appointies than Democratic appointees.

God damn. That's laughable Grind. Hell everyone knows it's michigans fault.
