Obama's Best Weapon -- The Tea Party, the Stupid Party

Why is Obama still leading in the polls and his bid for re-election looking better everyday?
No president has ever won re-election with the unemployment statistics that he has. This election should be about the economy and jobs .. but it isn't and it won't be. In these troubling times, how could that happen?
This is the product of the Tea Party .. as is the lowest approval of the US Congress EVER. They've set record new lows.
Mainstream republicans were too weak to stop them. They kicked out republicans with brains. They allowed the Tea Party to take over the party and they quickly ushered in the most socially and politically out-of-touch group of absolute morons this nation has ever seen.
Emboldened by the 2010 midterms, they felt themselves empowered to take over the nation, and they weren't going to take no for an answer. Any republican who talked compromise was quickly attacked and replaced with a moron.
What they didn't recognize is that their success in the midterms had much to do with the frustration and disappointment in Obama by the left. Many simply stayed home. That enthusiam they had for him in 2008 was gone. They had no reason to be excited about Obama because he gave them none. He betrayed them on war, civil liberties, marijuana, taxes, and Wall Street among other issues they thought they elected him to address. The unveiling of his health care plan was the last straw. They stayed home and the teabaggers won lots of elections.
Many were prepared to stay home again.
But the Tea Party had one huge problem. There is no intelligence in their platform, and even less in their politicians.
Two years later, in spite of Obama's failures, betrayals, and disappointments .. the Tea Party has given voters on the left, women, hispanics, and seniors, a reason to run to the polls to re-elect Obama.
Obama could not have scripted a more insane and out-of-touch opposition than the one he's been handed.
Republicans have now become, as Joe Scarbourogh puts it, "the stupid party."

Three months later I could add Akin, West, good and bad rape, and a host of absolutely moronic teabagger thought to the parade that led to Obama's re-election.
What should the Republican Party do now?
Get rid of these morons and welcome moderate republicans back into the fold.
