Activist to pay $100,000 over ACORN video

You seriously think some left wing article of excuses of "we didn't know", "we don't condone it", "we didn't mean do do it", "we fired the employees", etc. is
some sort of defense ?
50 employees were CONVICTED IN A COURT OF LAW.....CONVICTED OF VOTER FRAUD.....

"we didn't mean it" doesn't change the facts or excuse anybody.....

This document is Table of ACORN Voter Fraud Convictions (excerpted from Subversion Inc., by Matthew Vadum, WND Books, 2011). When this book went to press in early 2011 54 individuals who worked for ACORN, its affiliates, or who were connected to ACORN had been convicted of voter fraud. After press time ACORN Inc. itself was convicted of voter fraud. Voter fraud, sometimes called electoral fraud or election fraud, is a blanket term used by lawyers that encompasses a host of election-related improprieties including fraudulent voting, voter registration fraud, perjury, forgery, counterfeiting, impersonation, intimidation, and identity fraud.

You can deny the facts and history from now until the day you croak, and it won't amount to a hill of dung.....

Your post says "in early 2011 54 individuals who worked for ACORN, its affiliates, or who were connected to ACORN had been convicted of voter fraud."

Now at its peak, "... ACORN had over 500,000 members and more than 1,200 neighborhood chapters in over 100 cities across the U.S.,[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP] as well as in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and Peru.[SUP][5][/SUP]

So explain to me how 0.000108 of the total membership convicted of voter fraud translates to Acorn being a criminal organization. I'm sure your home town has a higher percentage of criminals than ACORN.

There are people convicted within organizations and businesses all the time. It does not mean that the orgnization itself was guilty.

Do you see the difference here?

Was ACORN itself found to be committing these crimes!

No, just individuals who were hired by ACORN.

Another good point, Christie, thanks.

My post also says ACORN Inc. itself was convicted of voter fraud in case you missed that.

So I don't have to or intend to explain anything....the facts speak for themselves.

ACORN was not convicted, you are wrong, just employees of ACORN or it's affiliates.

I have to alter my statement, they were fined in Nevada for breaking the laws of that state for compensating collectors of voters registration.

Selective editing by Matthew Vadum. The breitbart site says "ACORN itself was convicted of voter fraud in Nevada last year in a case that arose out of the same set of facts as in the Busefink case."

So you still haven't proven that the entire organization was corrupt because of the Nevada conviction.

Really ?....Now you want me to prove that everyone that worked for Acorn was corrupt ?....:palm::rofl2:

And yet liberals try to use the actions of a small number of people to denigrate and dehumanize an entire political party.
Care to explain the difference; other then your own prejudices?

I want you to stop with the lie that the entire organization was corrupt because of a few examples. What you're using is a hasty generalization, a logical fallacy.

Hasty generalization usually shows this pattern

X is true for A.
X is true for B.
X is true for C.
X is true for D.
Therefore, X is true for E, F, G, etc.

And yet liberals try to use the actions of a small number of people to denigrate and dehumanize an entire political party.

Ah yes...another gutless Rightie trots out the "well they did it too" defense...LMAO!!

Ain't that the truth...if ONE nutjob kills in the name Christianity, all Christians are evil killers.....but yet, thats not true of Muslims....even though we see thousands of them
doing killing with regularity......odd logic isn't it.

Yeah, and it still doesn't prove Popeye's allegation that the entire organization was corrupt.

You did say:

So Y-E-S...you do have to back it up with proof the ENTIRE ORGANIZATION is corrupt,

I usually only school one person at a time, so this is an unusually great moment for me....

The defunct political advocacy group ACORN has pleaded guilty to one count of an election law violation in Las Vegas, Nevada.

.............ACORN itself was named as a criminal defendant in the case for allegedly running an illegal voter registration scheme called "21," or "Blackjack," which paid ACORN workersarned bonuses based on the number of voters they registered in Nevada during the 2008 election.

This is the only case in the country in which ACORN itself was named as a felony defendant. The organization, a one-time community-based activist group, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy after dozens of its workers allegedly committed voter fraud in cases that led to numerous convictions.
